London Tournament 2008 Rules Mens Division
International Lacrosse Federation Rules for all games with modifications as detailed below.
Round Robin Phase with all teams playing each other followed by play-off games for final placings according to final positions after Round Robin.
All games 4 x 10 minute periods, 2 minutes between each period
No Time-outs
Championship game (1st v 2nd) only 4 x 15 minute quarters with Time-outs allowed
Running Clock as per ILF rules which includes stopping clock for last 3 minutes of Q4
Sudden death goal in the event of a tie.
Alternating periods of 4 minutes until a goal is scored
Teams ranked according to most wins and then on the result of the game between them.
Games to start on the hour, please ensure your team is ready to go.
When finishing a game please clear the bench area quickly.
Due to the uneven number of entrants all teams will play back to back games on one occasion on Friday.
There will be seven games over the three days for all except the team finishing seventh after the round robin.
Each team will provide a list of players before the start of the Tournament. Players must not switch teams during the Tournament, with the sole exception in the event of injury to a goalkeeper and agreed with the Team Coaches and the Tournament Director. Any team fielding an ineligible player will forfeit the game on the first occasion and be expelled from the Tournament on the second occasion.
Any player who is expelled from a game, other than for the normal accumulation of penalty minutes, will be banned from the next game in the Tournament and a second expulsion will mean a ban from the Tournament. SEMLA and NEMLA players will also be subject to disciplinary reports to their Association.
On Friday we have two fields available as the Women’s Tournament does not start until Saturday
